Pool presents: Dead Sirius 3000 – The Hole
dsnews

DEAD SIRIUS 3000 is quite a peculiar mixture of musical styles, but the pulsating heart of their music lies somewhere around straight-forward progressive rock, such as Foo Fighters and Faith No More, but with a distinctive Finnish twist. Jukka Backlund, well known as the successful Producer and Longtime-Keyboarder of Sunrise Avenue and his brother Tapio groove, like brothers should. Petteri Sariola’s virtuosity as a guitarist doesn’t attenuate his virtuosity as a singer.
On september 2011 the dudes decided to head to rural Finland, to a village called ‘Häijää’. Their base was a 200-year-old smoke cabin, deep in the forest.

The plan was mainly to drink whisky and utilize the sauna, but also play music for fun. For their great surprise, after a few days of radical drinking and sauna the fellows had come up with enough songs to fill an album. Luckily they had their equipment along; Most of the songs were recorded right away in the unique atmosphere and acoustics of the smoke cabin.

The Hole:
Upbeat stadion rock about the personal sanctuary and how we need to get out of that safe zone every now and then to experience the bittersweet life out there.
